Erik Satie - Trois Gymnopédies: Gymnopédie No. 3 "Lent et grave" 🎼 Best ...
The Gymnopédies, or Trois Gymnopédies, are three piano compositions written by French composer and pianist Erik Satie. In November 1888, the third Gymnopédie was published. The melodies of the pieces use deliberate, but mild, dissonances against the harmony, producing a piquant, melancholy effect that matches the performance instructions, which are to play each piece "painfully" (douloureux), "sadly" (triste), or "gravely" (grave).
“I came into the world very young, in an age that was very old.”
― Erik Satie

Erik Satie - Trois Gymnopédies: Gymnopédie No. 1 "Lent et douloureux" 🎼 ...
The Gymnopédies, or Trois Gymnopédies, are three piano compositions written by French composer and pianist Erik Satie. He completed the whole set by 2 April 1888, however they were at first published individually: the first and the third in 1888, the second in 1895.
"The musician is perhaps the most modest of animals, but he is also the proudest.”
― Erik Satie

Beethoven - Egmont Overture Op. 84 | Best Classical Music & Symphonic Or...
Egmont, Op. 84 by Ludwig van Beethoven, is a set of incidental music pieces for the 1787 play of the same name by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. It consists of an overture followed by a sequence of nine pieces for soprano, male narrator, and full symphony orchestra. The male narrator is optional; he is not used in the play and does not appear in all recordings of the complete incidental music.
“Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est.
(Applaud, my friends, the comedy is over.)
[Said on his deathbed]”
― Ludwig van Beethoven

Tchaikovsky - Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker pas de deux)...
The "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" is a dance for a ballerina. It is the third movement in The Nutcracker pas de deux. This pas de deux is from Act 2 of the 1892 ballet The Nutcracker. It is danced by the principal female dancer. The number was choreographed by Lev Ivanov to music written by Tchaikovsky.
"Music is an incomparably more powerful means and is a subtler language for expressing the thousand different moments of the soul's moods."
― Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
