Classical Music for Studying | Relaxing Piano Music | Study Music for Re...

1 Hour of some of the best classical music for studying and
concentration; "Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54 - I. Allegro
affettuoso - II. Intermezzo" composed by R. Schumann with soothing
nature sounds forest wild birds. It is the perfect relaxing instrumental
music for studying and better learning to focus and it is also great
classical piano and orchestra music to study, concentrate, writing or
working in office. Use this classical music for relaxation and reading
or as study music for exams and study time.

-------------------

Robert Schumann completed his Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54 in 1845.
It was premired by Clara Schumann te following year, with an orchestra
conducted by Ferdinand Hiller, the work's dedicatee. This work, which
actually started as a Fantasie, was the only piano concert Schumman
completed, as his previous attempts at the genre had been frustrated.
Clara urged him to expand the Fantasie and he added to more movements,
thus completing the work. After this concerto, Schumann wrote two other
pieces for piano and orchestra: the Introduction and Allegro
Appassionato, Op. 92, and the Introduction and Allegro Concertante, Op.
134. The concerto is scored for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2
bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, timpani, strings, and a piano. The piece,
as marked in the score, is in three movements, even though there is no
break between the last two, and Schumman actually preferred that the
movements be listed as only two in concert programs.

2 Hours of some of the best classical music for studying and

Adagio" composed by F. Schubert with soothing nature sounds sea waves.
It is the perfect relaxing instrumental music for studying and better

music to study, concentrate, writing or working in office. Use this
classical music for relaxation and reading or as study music for exams

-------------------

The String Quartet no. 10 in E flat major, D. 87, is one of Schubert's
earliest works. It was written in 1813, after he left the Royal College,
when he was 16. It is one of the most mature pieces of his adolescence,
and it has been suggested that Salieri had a great influence on it (as
Schubert admired him and took lessons with him). The quartet was first
performed in 1813 at Schubert's home, and published posthumously, in
1830, under the Op. number 125/1.

Satie Classical Music for Studying | Relaxing Piano Music | Study Music ...

1 Hour of some of the best classical music for studying and
concentration; "Gnossienne No.2" composed by Erik Satie and performed by
La Pianista with soothing nature sounds rain. It is the perfect
relaxing instrumental music for studying and better learning to focus
and it is also great classical piano music to study, concentrate,
writing or working in office. Use this classical music for relaxation
and reading or as study music for exams and study time.

-------------------

The Gnossiennes (French pronunciation: [ɡnosjεn]) are several piano
compositions written by the French composer Erik Satie in the late 19th
century. The works are for the most part in free time (lacking time
signatures or bar divisions) and highly experimental with form, rhythm
and chordal structure. The form as well as the term was invented by
Satie.

These Three Gnossiennes were composed around 1890 and first published in
1893. A revision prior to publication in 1893 is not unlikely; the 2nd
Gnossienne may even have been composed in that year (it has "April 1893"
as date on the manuscript). The piano solo versions of the first three
Gnossiennes are without time signatures or bar lines, which is known as
free time.

These Gnossiennes were first published in Le Figaro musical No. 24 of
September 1893 (Gnossiennes Nos. 1 and 3, the last one of these then
still "No. 2") and in Le Cœur No. 6–7 of September–October 1893
(Gnossienne No. 2 printed as facsimile, then numbered "No. 6").

The first grouped publication, numbered as known henceforth, followed in
1913. By this time Satie had indicated 1890 as composition date for all
three. The first Gnossienne was dedicated to Alexis Roland-Manuel in
the 1913 reprint. The 1893 facsimile print of the 2nd Gnossienne
contained a dedication to Antoine de La Rochefoucauld, not repeated in
the 1913 print. This de La Rochefoucauld had been a co-founder of
Joséphin Péladan's Ordre de la Rose-Croix Catholique et Esthetique du
Temple et du Graal in 1891. By the second publication of the first set
of three Gnossiennes, Satie had broken already for a long time with all
Rosicrucian type of endeavours.

Also with respect to the tempo these Gnossiennes follow the Gymnopédies
line: slow tempos, respectively Lent (French for Lento/slow), avec
étonnement ("with astonishment"), and again Lent.

A sketch containing only two incomplete bars, dated around 1890, shows
Satie beginning to orchestrate the 3rd Gnossienne.

The first and third Gnossiennes share a similar chordal structures,
rhythm and share reference to each other's thematic material.

-------------------

The Gymnopédies (French pronunciation: [ʒim.nɔ.pe.di]), published in
Paris starting in 1888, are three piano compositions written by French
composer and pianist Erik Satie.

The work's unusual title comes from the French form of gymnopaedia, the
ancient Greek word for an annual festival where young men danced naked —
or perhaps simply unarmed. The source of the title has been a subject
of debate. Satie and his friend Alexis Roland-Manuel maintained that he
adopted it after reading Gustave Flaubert's novel Salammbô, while others
see a poem by J. P. Contamine de Latour as the source of Satie's
inspiration, since the first gymnopédie was published in the magazine La
Musique des familles in the summer of 1888 together with an excerpt of
Latour's poem Les Antiques, where the term appears.

Grieg Classical Music for Studying | Relax Orchestra Music | Study Music...

1 Hour of some of the best classical music for studying and
concentration; "Morning Mood" composed by Grieg with soothing nature
sounds. It is the perfect relaxing instrumental music for studying and
better learning to focus and it is also great classical orchestral music
to study, concentrate, writing or working in office. Use this classical
music for relaxation and reading or as study music for exams and study
time.

--------------------

"Morning Mood" (Norwegian title: Morgenstemning i ørkenen – Morning mood
in the desert) is part of Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt, Op. 23, written in
1875 as incidental music to Henrik Ibsen's play of the same name, and
was also included as the first of four movements in Peer Gynt Suite No.
1, Op. 46.

Written in E major, the melody uses the pentatonic scale and alternates
between flute and oboe. Unusually, the climax occurs early in the piece
at the first forte which signifies the sun breaking through. The time
signature is 6
8 and the tempo instruction is Allegretto pastorale. It is orchestrated
for flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, horns, trumpets, timpani, and
string section. A performance takes about four minutes.

The piece depicts the rising of the sun during act 4, scene 4, of
Ibsen's play, which finds Peer Gynt stranded in the Moroccan desert
after his companions took his yacht and abandoned him there while he
slept. The scene begins with the following description: "Dawn. Acacias
and palm trees. Peer [Gynt] is sitting in his tree using a wrenched-off
branch to defend himself against a group of monkeys."

As the Peer Gynt suites take their pieces out of the original context of
the play, "Morning Mood" is not widely known in its original setting,
and images of Grieg's Scandinavian origins more frequently spring to the

Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor (WoO 59, Bia 515) for solo piano, commonly
known as "Für Elise" (English: "For Elise"), is one of Ludwig van
Beethoven's most popular compositions. It was not published during his
lifetime, only being discovered (by Ludwig Nohl) forty years after his
death, and may be termed either a Bagatelle or an Albumblatt. The
identity of "Elise" is unknown; researchers have suggested Therese
Malfatti, Elisabeth Röckel, or Elise Barensfeld.

1 Hour of some of the best classical music for studying and

is the perfect relaxing instrumental music for studying and better
learning to focus and it is also great classical piano music to study,

--------------------

Le cygne, pronounced, or The Swan, is the 13th and penultimate movement
of The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. Originally scored
for solo cello accompanied by two pianos, it has been arranged and
transcribed for many instruments but remains best known as a cello solo.

The piece is in 6/4 time, with a key signature of G major and a tempo
marking andantino grazioso. The slow cello melody is accompanied by
almost constant broken chord figurations on the pianos. When performed
as a separate movement, not in the context of The Carnival, The Swan is
frequently played with accompaniment on only one piano.

This is the only movement from The Carnival of the Animals that the
composer allowed to be played in public during his lifetime. He thought
the remaining movements were too frivolous and would damage his
reputation as a serious composer.

Because of its slow tempo and mostly legato performance indications, the
movement is suitable for performance on the theremin and has joined
Sergei Rachmaninoff's Vocalise and Jules Massenet's Méditation from his
opera Thaïs among the classical works central to the theremin
repertoire.

Classical Music for Studying | Beethoven Study Music | Piano Music for R...

1 Hour of some of the best classical music for studying and
concentration; Piano Sonata 17 by Beethoven with soothing rain sounds.
It is the perfect relaxing instrumental music for studying and better
learning to focus and it is also great classical piano music to study,
concentrate, writing or working in office. Use this classical music for
relaxation and reading or as study music for exams and study time.

--------------------

The Piano Sonata No. 17 in D minor, Op. 31, No. 2, was composed in
1801–02 by Ludwig van Beethoven. It is usually referred to as "The
Tempest" (or Der Sturm in his native German), but the sonata was not
given this title by Beethoven, or indeed referred to as such during his
lifetime. The name comes from a reference to a personal conversation
with Beethoven by his associate Anton Schindler in which Schindler
reports that Beethoven suggested, in passing response to his question
about interpreting it and Op. 57, the "Appassionata" sonata, that he
should read Shakespeare's Tempest. Although much of Schindler's
information is distrusted by classical music scholars, this is a
first-hand account like any other that any scholar reports. The British
music scholar Donald Francis Tovey says in A Companion to Beethoven's
Pianoforte Sonatas:

With all the tragic power of its first movement the D minor Sonata is,
like Prospero, almost as far beyond tragedy as it is beyond mere foul
weather. It will do you no harm to think of Miranda at bars 31–38 of the
slow movement... but people who want to identify Ariel and Caliban and
the castaways, good and villainous, may as well confine their attention
to the exploits of Scarlet Pimpernel when the Eroica or the C minor
Symphony is being played (pg. 121).
